Attorney Profiles

David M. Crane, a native of Mott, ND,  is an attorney licensed to practice law in North and South Dakota.  He is also admitted to practice in Federal District Court in both states.

 He received his BA from the University of North Dakota Honors Program in 1975,  graduating magna cum laud.  He received his MA degree in Sociology (minor in statistics) from UND in 1977 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon Law School in 1982.  He also graduated from the Tax Preparer Program in 1993 and the Certified Financial Planning Course in 1995, both offered through the College of Financial Planning in Denver.

 Mr. Crane is licensed as a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses, as well has insurance licences for life and health.

 Mr. Crane has practiced law since 1982.  He served as Hettinger County States Attorney from 1987-1990.  He has also served as City Attorney for the cities of Mott and New England.  In recent years his practice has been concentrated in the areas of real estate, taxation, estate and financial planning, probate and bankrupcty.
